The Planning Foundation Session
Transforming your company from the traditional model to one that intrinsically leverages your talent begins with the strategic planning process, a core expertise of MTI for almost 30 years. The starting point of the planning process is the Planning Foundation Session. This two-day session is held at our offices with CEO and spouse and is designed to answer four basic questions which will build the foundation for the planning process.
- What do we need and want out of life?
- How can our company help us accomplish that?
- What would the company need to look like to fulfill that role?
- How do we get it there from here?
Then, working with the MTI consultant, a plan for the strategic planning process, putting together the Leadership Team at your company and beginning the process of transferring the baton of CEO-ship to the Leadership Team.
The process of building a self-managed company typically takes two to three years. Your consultant will work with you throughout that period:
- Helping the Leadership Team learn how to run the company
- Helping the CEO transfer responsibility to the team in an orderly way
- Facilitating the strategic planning process
- Participating in monthly Leadership Team meetings
- Helping the team design the organizational artifacts of compensation, feedback, education, training and orientation, and profit sharing.
